This is perhaps, the most disturbing aspect of the whole Trulson Affair, assuming the Sheriff's Department gave advance warning to Darrel.

The minor child was told by Darrel that if the cops came, minor child would be placed in foster care for months, possibly a year would pass before she could return to New York if she relayed what really happened on Wallmark Drive last July to the authorities.

Darrel told the child he had contacted a lawyer who would make sure that this would happen while indicating the child would never see her friends again.

Obviously, this threat was made prior to the Deputy's arrival as the minor child did as she was instructed.

So, who tipped off Darrel? Was it someone in the Sheriff's Department? Perhaps, his ex let it slip out, perhaps she left a message on Darrel's answering machine when she was demanding to speak to her child.

Darrel's Ex-Wife writes:

"Thanks Jon I appreciate all you have done and your story really touched my heart. My daughter only weighs 80 pounds right now and both girls are in therapy so I live with the pain every day. Lauren is working on her letter..........you will get that soon. I will stay in touch. Thank you again!"

This minor child went through something traumatic that made her stop eating!

We will probably never know, we can only pray her swift recovery.

An Open Letter to Bob Barrett

To Bob Barrett,

Would you admonish Darrel Trulson, your campaign manager if he had "humped" the leg of one of his male children?"

Silence is consent. You have received all of the documentation concerning the pervert, Darrel Trulson, yet you do not respond.

As such, it appears that the leadership of the local Republican Party is intent upon changing "God's Own Party" (GOP) into a

"Group of Perverts."

As a reporter, I hear a lot of things from a lot of people.

Party leaders meeting with their mistresses out of town at GOP expense.

A child molesting pervert (in my humble opinion), your campaign manager having a sexual relationship with the head of your Republican Executive Committee.

At least she is a girl of legal age.

But then again, if your not planning on getting married, it's really not premarital sex, is it?

Bob, I would like to know if this is the example your party seeks to set for young Republicans?

As for the rank and file Republicans who support you with donations of their hard earned money, you require appropriate family values, if they are to be included with you and your "Group of Perverts."

Sean and yourself seem to turn a blind eye to the behavior of those striving to get you reelected.

I suppose it is all about winning. Doing the right thing takes courage.

If Darrel is elected, I am not sure how effective a leader he will be. I don't think he will have the desired effect you and the other "Group of Perverts" have in mind.

I am hearing that the other board members will refuse to sit next to the pervert, perhaps concerned Darrel will try to "hump" their leg, as well.

So, with Darrel sitting in corner all by himself, choking his squirrel, how can he build the new jail and government center planned by Lynn Schultz, Peter Schaps and the Tea Party? How will he be able to stop abortion in Chisago County while forcing everyone to attend church on Sunday morning? Without support from the other Commissioners.

If you are reelected, I am not sure how effective you will be as Darrel's story breaks statewide, possibly nationwide after the election.

So, back to the question at hand, "Would you admonish Darrel if he had "humped" the leg of one of his male children?"

Tea Party Threatens Local Reporter

To: Peter Schaps,

Sorry, it was late last night but you wrote the following. Would you elaborate further?

"Bear this in mind this day that the words you write today may be the worst words you live to regret tomorrow."

I have sent my next edition to all parties involved that they may point out any statement to which they may believe slanderous so that I may edit my content appropriately.

However, I am opining about a police report, a letter from Darrel Trulson's daughter and my own family's experiences with child molestation.

Even the Local Republicans must admit that free press still exists in the United States and people have the right to their opinions.

So what punishment does the Tea Party, Bob Barrett and Sean Nienow have in store for me?

A boycott of my lawnmower shop? from pro business Republicans?

Personal harm administered by a Tea Party goon squad, like those who deface campaign signs?

Peter, you sound a whole lot more like a Fascist Nazi than the liberty loving American you profess to be.

Please advise what sort of torture you have in mind for me. A Tea Party Concentration Camp? Bamboo shoots under the finger nails or a simple yet effective water boarding that will make me sig heil perverts, Peter Shaps, Darrel Trulson and the local Republicans who support him.

Oh jeez, maybe you are trying to coerce me into not reporting about Darrel because of my "criminal record" and the ten days I served in jail for recycling without a license.

Janet Reiter got a big conviction against a local guy for coercion. I can see if she would give equal consideration to you. The other guy got fined 100 bucks. Will the Republicans cover your fine?

Darrel, based upon subsequent Emails from yourself and other parties I can verify that you have received a copy of my Epitaph through email.

You have made no attempt to clarify or disavow the Sheriff's report and the letter from your daughter or disagree with, or point out any fallacies in my editorial comments or content, though you have had ample time to do so.

I have an email from your ex-wife requesting some minor changes in copy and description of events leading to the Sheriff's Report. She further states that she is not going to recant her statements, though it is apparent that she and her family have been under extreme pressure to do so.

Some 50 years ago, my oldest sister married a pedophile.

For a time, this man was like a second father to me.

When my seven year old little sister relayed what she considered to be normal behavior to one of her playmates who subsequently relayed this information to her Mother, the men in the neighborhood, my older brother and his friends grabbed their shotguns and deer rifles and went looking for my child molesting brother-in-law.

They never found him, nor were charges ever filed. The man disappeared and was never heard from again. Recently, his adult children came upon correspondence indicating he was alive and well as of five years ago, leading to speculation as to the number of children he likely molested in his lifetime.

Fortunately, the Trulson girls are in therapy and in time will hopefully recover from a form of abuse known today as "emotional incest." The next child abused in this manner may not be as lucky.

Along with elected leadership comes the guise of respectability and responsibility, i.e. if you can get several thousand people to vote for you, you must be a cut above the others which places you in a position of authority over others.

We have an often unjustified awe of our elected leadership. Said power often transfers throughout government. Speeding tickets are dismissed, absconding with county softballs and other behavior unbecoming an elected official is all too often tolerated.

As long as Rick Duncan is our Sheriff, matters like the Trulson affair will be investigated, however if the politician becomes powerful enough to dispose of our current independent leadership and replaces them with a "far right wing patsy" such matters will be overlooked and covered up.

As a County Commissioner, Trulson can do little to change state law. Beyond this stepping stone to higher office, should a pervert be allowed to influence state child molestation laws or place himself in a position of greater power where his acts will be covered up by his political party?

Therefore, in my considered opinion it is appropriate to ask:

"Would you let Darrel Trulson babysit your daughter or granddaughter?"

Darrel Trulson's Perverted Family Values

Darrel Trulson is a candidate for Chisago County District One Commissioner and Chair of Bob Barrett's Election Committee.

Imagine, if you will Darrel Trulson parading around the house in his underwear in front of his sixteen year old daughter who is visiting from New York and then lying on top of her while she watches TV on the couch.

Then Darrel develops a sudden dislike for squirrels, live trapping them. Not for relocation but drowning them with his bare hands in a tub filled with water in his garage.

Perhaps, a perverted psychological message to his daughter saying, "this can happen to you!"

The minor child screams for help, but Darrel will not release her to go home. Only after the Sheriff is summoned and the child's stepfather screams at Darrel over the phone is the child released.

It is in this light that the elder of Darrel's girls come forward with great courage to state, in effect that we, the voters of Chisago County cannot put this man, her father into a position of power which will allow him to abuse women and other children.

My name is Lauren Ciambriello, and I am Darrel Trulson's daughter. I have written a letter, and I was hoping you could help me get this word out about my father.

I thank you for your kindness, and understanding. I hope we can do whatever we can to prevent this man from getting into office.

My father claims he has family values, and close relationships to his children-
How is it okay for him to claim such family values, when most of my childhood was spent watching him beat his children and claim it was discipline. My sister and I are scarred and traumatized by his emotional incest and inappropriate sexualized contact. You should make one question a priority in this election…why was the Chisago County Sheriff called to Darrel’s home during my minor sisters’ visit this summer?

I do not approach this subject lightly; I have given this decision to come forward much thought and deliberation. This has nothing to do with politics but everything to do with decency and morals. I have a daughter to whom I am committed to protecting and therefore I will never allow him to have contact with her. I will never let anyone take her innocence away from her, like mine was taken from me.

Sheriff’s Report Darrel Trulson, Bob Barrett’s Campaign Manager

NARRATIVE

 

On July 13, 2012 at 1534 Hours I was requested to make phone contact with the Complainant, Deborah Sabara, at her place of employment in Interlachen NY.

 

               I contacted Deborah who advised that her daughter (Minor Child) is visiting her Father, Darrel Trulson at 30619 Wallmark Lake Dr. Chisago City. She stated that she had spoken with (Minor Child) who told her that she is scared and wants to come home to New York. The reason is that her Father “creeps her out” by lying on top of her on the couch. Deborah requested a welfare check.

 

               I responded to the address and was greeted at the door by Darrel Trulson. I asked if (Minor Child) was home, he stated that she was, and invited me into the residence; I noted the house was neat and clean. He called for (Minor Child) and she came to the entry way. I asked Darrel if it was OK to step outside with (Minor Child) so that we could speak in private, he stated that was fine.

 

               (Minor Child) and I stepped outside. Once outside, I explained the reason for my visit. I asked her to tell me why she was scared. She stated she wasn’t so much scared as she was creeped out. I asked her to tell me why she was creeped out, she stated that when she lays down on the couch, her dad comes over and lays down on top of her. I asked what she thought when he does this. She stated that she thinks he is just playing around but that it creeps her out. I asked if she was afraid of getting hurt or if she thought he would hurt her. She stated that she was not afraid of that. I asked if she was homesick and she stated she was. I explained that I that I would not be able to help her get home to her Mother, that her Mother would have to work on that in New York, she understood this. I further explained that if she felt in danger to call 9-1-1.

 

               I then had Darrel step out and (Minor Child) step back into house. I asked Darrel if he lies down on top of (Minor Child) when she is on the couch, he stated that he does do this and does it because that’s how he plays with the kids. I explained to him how (Minor Child) feels about this, that she is a 16 year old girl going from childhood to adulthood and that this act really bothers her and suggested that he not do that anymore. He stated that he understands and would not do this anymore.

 

I cleared the residence and called the complainant back and advised her of my findings.

NARRATIVE

 

On 7-13-2012 myself and Deputy Mark Stovern went to the Trulson residence on Wallmark Lake Dr. Deputy Stovern talked to the Mother of (Minor Child). He stated that (Minor Child) is at her Father’s residence for summer visitation from New York.

 

               Deputy Stovern talked with (Minor Child) outside the residence while I stayed inside the residence with Darrel Trulson. I advised him that we received a call from Deborah Sabara, (Minor Child’s) Mother, stating that her daughter was complaining of feeling uncomfortable with staying at her father’s residence. Sabara reported that Trulson “jumped on” (Minor Child) while she was lying on the couch. He told me that he was wrestling around with his daughter and nothing immoral or illegal took place.

 

               Deputy Stovern then talked with Darrel outside the residence and I stayed inside with (Minor Child). She admitted that it was difficult and not very much fun to visit all the way from New York. She does not know anybody here and she is away from her friends.

Letter to the Editor

One of the best things about our local governments is that the dysfunction of party politics doesn’t muck up our local board rooms like it does at the State Capital.

Chisago County commissioners have always been a nonpartisan public service office, meaning that our commissioners are loyal to the taxpayers of our county, not to any political party agenda; at least they haven’t been, up to now.

Our local Republican Party has thrown their full support behind one candidate for county commissioner, Darrel Trulson.

They have provided him with financial, physical and strategic support in his pursuit of this office.

It seems to me like the (local Chisago County) Republican Party is trying to buy this seat on our County Board, and I can’t help but wonder why they would do this for a nonpartisan office.

What kind of influence are they trying to buy?

What kind of debt will Darrel Trulson have to the Republican Party if he is elected?

I think these are all valid question that we need to ask ourselves, along with the most important question: Do you want to be bought, or do you want to be served by our Chisago County commissioners?

was never elected trustee for the Village of Arlington Heights, Illinois, as he claims.

   According to Trulson’s literature and website, he was “Elected as a Trustee in Arlington Heights, Illinois (a city of 75,000 people)” and further states “was active in his community where he was elected a trustee in the city of Arlington Heights…” Village Board members are composed of eight trustees, and one Village President.

   According to the Brainerd Dispatch, “Trulson, 49, was born and raised in North Branch. He went to college out of state and lived in the Chicago area for about 30 years. While in Illinois he served as a trustee in the city of Arlington Heights, Ill., for five years.”

   According to the Cook County New Herald, “Darrel A. Trulson is an accomplished man. A father of six. He’s written over a dozen (Bible Study) books, served as an elected trustee for five years in Arlington Heights, Illinois, owns a business, spent seven years teaching school… and served as an associate pastor at a Wisconsin church.”

   According to Lisa A. Farrington, Staff Attorney for the Village of Arlington Heights,

“We have never had a Darrel Trulson on our Village Board.”

  

   In his battle to beat Chip Cravaack, Trulson stated, “It is time we had a proven leader who will stand by his conservative convictions and not be a puppet for lobbyists and special interests;” though Darrel has never been elected to public office or proven his leadership ability in any discernible fashion.

   Vladimir Lenin once said, “Tell a lie often enough and people will believe it as the truth.”

   It is conceivable that Darrel has told this lie so many times; he now believes it to be true; though his statement is a clear violation of Minnesota Election Law. Most certainly a violation of public trust and those he has fooled and duped into supporting his campaign, most notably former Representative Pete Nelson of Lindstrom.

What is interesting to note, Trulson’s high level of deception almost got him nominated for Cravaak’s job. If not for the Republican “vetting” (investigate someone thoroughly, esp. in order to ensure that they are suitable for a job requiring secrecy, loyalty, or trustworthiness), he would have been held accountable for his statements by the mainstream liberal media and Oberstar would still be in Washington.

While many politicians promise tax cuts, Lora delivers!

So, other than needing a job, why does Trulson want to be our County Commissioner? He offers nothing that any other candidate, for any other office is not already saying, “Business Friendly, Family Values,” but “talk is cheap, it takes money to buy whiskey.” Here in North Branch, where “the rubber meets the road,” you will find Lora Walker working hard to maintain the quality of life we respect and desire right here in Chisago County.

    Chisago County was in a huge financial mess when Walker returned to the County Board in 2009. Tax and spend Republicans Bob Gustafson and Lynn Schultz had been on a four year spending spree with your tax dollars.

   Bob Gustafson had never met a tax increase that he didn’t like.

   Good old boy favors were passed around like Chicklets, as long as Bob’s nefarious softball schemes were left unquestioned by fellow Republicans.

   The Board had just purchased a $4,000,000 hay field, planning to build a $40,000,000 jail so massive it could never be filled, even by raising quotas to include lower middle class poor people.

   For four years, Commissioner Walker has led the fight to hold the line on Government spending, achieving the first levy decrease, probably in the history of Chisago County.

   At first glance, it appeared that Yes-ka’ (Jeske) Noordergraaf, a horse doctor (DVM) from Sunrise was “cannon fodder” for Chisago County’s well funded GOP, a sacrificial lamb as it were, to all powerful incumbent State Senator Sean Nienow of Cambridge.

   However, there are some chinks in Sean’s armor.

   With little regard to its effect on the residents of Chisago County, Nienow “sieg heiled” the party line by rescinding the Homestead Exemption, a tax increase in disguise for local property owners.

   This action was sharply criticized by Walker, Montzka, Greene and McMahon, the board members charged with maintaining tax equilibrium for the residents of Chisago County.

   Ultimately, it was the small business owners that “paid the price” for yet another Republican induced tax increase.

   How many more small business owners will be driven out of Chisago County by Sean’s actions remain to be seen.
